Rick Ross first confirmed the release of his new album in January 2024 and continued to tease the album in interviews with Yung Miami, Bootleg Kev and Haute Living. Confirmed contributors include producer Breyon Prescott, who posted about the album on Instagram, and Pharrell Williams, who produced the album’s lead single, “For the Money”. In Prescott’s post, a tentative tracklist can be seen under the title “Set in Stone,” a title which was later confirmed by Ross in an interview with 103.5 the Beat.
